About Us

Our Story

The ‘Zoo Scoop was founded by Bradley Romstadt, a Kalamazoo native whose career in hospitality and passion for ice cream inspired a place where everyone feels welcome. Every scoop, sandwich, and smile is served with genuine care and a touch of Bronco pride.

My first job was caddying at the Kalamazoo Country Club at the age of 14 where I grew a love for offering great hospitality to members and growing connections that have helped me get where I am. Throughout College, I gave the Hotel Industry a try where I had the pleasure of working with some amazing mentors along the way who helped me grow into a leader in the Hospitality Industry.

Meet Bradley Romstadt

I last worked at FireKeepers Casino Hotel where I was the Hotel Front Desk Manager for nearly 2 years from 2023 to 2025.

I have always had a passion to run my own business as well as a love for ice cream and with the help and support of my parents, both of those dreams are now made possible here at The ‘Zoo Scoop.
